Easy Way to Create Xubuntu 9.10 into USB via Windows XP

This article will share how to create a Xubuntu into flash drive via Windows. Xubuntu is a community developed operating system that is perfect for laptops and desktops. Whether you use it at home, at school or at work Xubuntu contains all the applications you'll ever need, from word processing and email applications, to web server software and programming tools. Xubuntu is and always will be free of charge. You do not pay any licensing fees. You can download, use and share Xubuntu with your friends, family, school or business for absolutely nothing. It issues a new desktop and server release every six months. That means you'll always have the latest and greatest applications that the open source world has to offer.

  1. Make sure your BIOS supports to boot through USB Flash Drive

  2. Prepare before Installation process


    • Your PC has installed Windows XP

    • 4GB or Larger USB Flash Drive (Formatted FAT32)

    • Linux Ubuntu 9.10.iso, if You doesn't have please download Xubuntu x86.

    • Download USB installer for Xubuntu .exe,

    • Download Casper-RW creator .exe,


  3. Run USB installer for Xubuntu .exe, and follow it's instructions until finished,

  4. Run Casper-RW Creator, and follow it's instructions until finished. Congratulation LOL, You have a Xubuntu 9.10 on your flash drive now.

  5. Reboot your PC and set your system BIOS or Boot Menu to boot from the USB device, save your changes and reboot, please booting from the USB memory stick. You will be directed to Xubuntu 9.10 via USB.

    Xubuntu Desktop
Now, You have a Linux Xubuntu 9.10 that can be brought to everywhere. Keep update your linux, although It is on USB Flash Drive.
