How to Speed Up Firefox 3.5.5 - Faster, Safer

Mozilla Firefox is an open source browser that is used by million people to surf on cyber world. Firefox can install on many os platforms like Linux, Windows and Mac. It has many features to be used and has millions add-ons that can help us. When I was publishing this article, The new version of Firefox is 3.5.5. We will share how to speed up firefox 3.5.5 without install add-ons.

  1. Download Firefox 3.5.5
  2. Open firefox and type about:config on address bar

  3. about:config.png

  4. The below codes will be typed on filter bar, let's work to speed up the Firefox

    1. find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests on filter tab
      network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.png

      Double click to change it's value. Set value = 8
      network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.png

    2. find network.http.pipelining on filter bar
      network.http.pipelining.png

      Double click to change it's value. False to True
      network.http.pipelining.png

    3. find network.http.proxy.pipelining on filter tab
      network.http.proxy.pipelining

      Double click to change it's value. False to True
      network.http.proxy.pipelining.png

    4. find plugin.expose_full_path on filter tab
      network.dns.disableIPv6.png

      Double click to change it's value. False to True
      network.dns.disableIPv6.png

    5. find network.dns.disableIPv6 on filter tab
      network.dns.disableIPv6.png

      Double click to change it's value. False to True
      network.dns.disableIPv6.png


    6. Create new integer value ui.submenuDelay
      right click >> New >> Integer
      Set value = 0

      ui.submenuDelay.png

    7. Create new integer value nglayout.initialpaint.delay
      right click >> New >> Integer
      Set value = 0
      nglayout.initialpaint.delay.png

      nglayout.initialpaint.delay.png

    8. Create new integer value content.notify.backoffcount
      right click >> New >> Integer
      Set value = 5
      content.notify.backoffcount.png
      content.notify.backoffcount.png

This did not give me any noticeable increase in speed. I could sort of tell a very FEW websites were a little bit smoother, but it really wasn't worth the 5 minutes of configuration it took.

hmm, maybe your internet connection is very slow, so it can work optimally.

this way can work when the speed of your connection is >= 128 kb/s.

or you can install add-ons "faster fox" to support our way.
