Install Wordpress on Linux Platform

Wordpress is a CMS (Content Management System) that can be downloaded free on http://wordpress.org. Wordpress help us to make easyly a web, we don't need php files for web that is made, because Wordpress has provided many services that can help user when use it. You can run wordpress in your localhost on linux platform. Many benefits that is gotten running wordpress via localhost :

• We can check security before published on internet,


• sparing the time,


• Configure wordpress so that your web is awesome when publish it.. hahahahhaa.
  you can set : SEO, meta, font, title for your web, etc


• etc.

How to Install Wordpress Offline using Xampp :

1. Configure Xampp as your localhost on linux platform, Check this out our article about Installation and Configuration Xampp on Linux



2. Download The last wordpress on http://wordpress.org
   



3. Extract folder wordpress and move it to /opt/lampp/htdocs/
   



4. Go to /opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/
   
   rename file wp-config-sample.php to be wp-config.php
   



5. Edit file wp-config.php using text editor
   
   find :
   
   define(’DB_NAME’, ‘putyourdbnamehere’);
   
   // The name of the database
   define(’DB_USER’, ‘usernamehere’);
   
   // Your MySQL username
   define(’DB_PASSWORD’, ‘yourpasswordhere’);
   
   change to be :
   
   define(’DB_NAME’, ‘mywork’);
   
   // The name of the database
   define(’DB_USER’, ‘root’);
   
   // Your MySQL username
   define(’DB_PASSWORD’, ‘’);
   



6. create database mywork for wordpress via xampp on http://localhost/phpmyadmin
   



7. go to http://localhost/wordpress
   
   Do instructions that is given until your wordpress installed.
   
   note:
   remember your password.
   


8. After your account has been created, If you want to login go to http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin
