Install GUI desktop environment on Ubuntu Server
- Make sure you have connected on Internet Repository or Local Repository
Update repository to start installation Desktop Environment.
sudo apt-get update - Install GNOME desktop
- Full installation with some applications such as open office,etc.
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop - Minimum installation of GNOME desktop
sudo aptitude install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-desktop
- Full installation with some applications such as open office,etc.
- Install KDE desktop
sudo apt-get installkubuntu-desktop
- Install XFCE desktop
